About us

Science Movement is essentially a non-commercial, not-for-profit initiative of Subhadra Charitable Trust. It is a systematic process that first selects the most eligible students to avail the opportunity of participating in a science camp for free. This annual initiative is culminated in the event of a major Science Camp that is organized during the winter vacation under a pleasant and conducive environment where the participating students are provided with free accommodation and other facilities. Science Movement is a unique opportunity for school students to learn science through interactive lectures, demonstrations, activities and experimentations, aimed at promoting active participation of school students in basic sciences by providing them the right kind of guidance and learning opportunity. It is a flagship program to undertake initiatives to facilitate prolonged interaction between the school students and leading researchers and academicians of the day. Besides supplementing student learning, such initiatives aim to provide a seamless setting for enthusiastic researchers to contribute at the grassroots of learning by reaching out and talking to students, enabling them to understand the nation's ground reality better, and contributing towards igniting young minds. This movement is spearheaded by Mr.Jyoti Ranjan Tripathy, Convener of Science Movement and Chairman of Subhadra Charitable Trust. Through this trust Mr.Jyoti Ranjan has been instrumental in organizing various events like Teachers Training Programs, Olympiad Training Camps and Science Conferences; and has been contributing towards the development of quality education in Odisha.
